Brazil and the Amazon rain forest is one of the most unexplored places on earth and it holds one the few tropical rainforests left in the world. In that rainforest holds what many biologists think could be the home of many natural pharmaceuticals that have yet to be discovered. These scientists presume this because much of the Amazon rainforest has yet to be mapped or even explored so there could be many other new species of plants or animals that could hold toxins or enzymes we as humans could use to help cure many viruses and bacteria such as AIDS or cancer.
Some of these plants have been known to have anti cancer qualities that we could synthesis together to make a cure for cancer. There is only one problem with this theory. The problem is that as we continue to cut down the rainforest we are also destroy the environment were these plants grow, so the plant species we are looking to cure diseases might be destroyed before we even find it.

  2. Thank you Greg. I hate the destruction of the rain forest. As you have pointed out, it is the home to a lot of undiscovered cures.
